PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS OF ONTARIO

The engineering profession in Ontario is governed through self-regulation, a privilege granted by the provincial government under the Professional Engineers Act. The role of PEO is to provide the trusteeship and leadership of the engineering profession through licensing and development of competent and ethical professional engineers, and to regulate the practice of engineering while maintaining public safety.

For nearly 40 years Consulting Engineers of Ontario has been a non-profit association of engineering firms in the province. Founded in 1975 by the consulting engineers division of Professional Engineers Ontario, they have become a valuable resource for members. As a member of the Consulting Engineers of Ontario, JNE Consulting has access to an array of services which includes advocacy, courses and seminars, awards and events, networking, and more.

ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS AND GEOSCIENTISTS OF ALBERTA

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) regulates the practices of engineering and geoscience in Alberta. The Association’s authority is derived from the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act. The APEGA provides leadership for the engineering and geoscience professions by upholding members in their professional practices.

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS AND GEOLOGISTS OF NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR

The Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) — formerly the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland (APEGN) — is an organization whose mandate is regulating these professions in the public interest, as promulgated in the Engineers & Geoscientists Act 2008 of Newfoundland and Labrador. PEGNL is accountable to the public through the provincial Department of Government Services and Lands.
